About the event

Students will learn valuable tools to cultivate mindfulness and enhance their overall well-being in a supportive environment. Come ready to relax, engage, and have fun! This event is for East 5th graders only and is limited to 20 participants. A wait-list will be set up as well. An e-mail with confirmation of where we will be will meeting at the school be sent closer to the event.


The afternoon will be hosted by Jennifer Lynn, owner of Nurtured Roots. She is a yoga and mindfulness instructor and has two children at East. She is also co-president of the East PTO.


What to expect:


  • Learn Practical Skills: Discover simple strategies for managing stress and improving focus through guided breathing exercises and mindful movement.

  • Interactive Activities: Participate in fun, hands-on exercises that promote self-awareness and emotional regulation.

  • Relaxation Techniques: Experience calming practices to help ease the transition from school to home.
